Dot-mobi to auction 15 'premium' domains | Digiweb secures mobile wideband licence in Norway
It looks like the security breach against retailing giant TJX's credit card transaction processing system is more serious than was first believed, The Register reports. The retailer now suspects that the attacks date back to July 2005 and involve transactions up to June 2004 -- previously TJX thought the breaches were confined to 2003. TJX is the parent company of the retailer TK Maxx, which has operations in the UK and Ireland. It's now beginning to look more likely that some of TK Maxx' customers may have been put at risk. TJX's investigators have discovered evidence of an intrusion to the section of its computer system that processes TK Maxx customer transactions.

Digiweb has announced it has secured a mobile wideband licence in Norway. The licence and spectrum is the same as that which Digiweb has already secured in Ireland and will enable the broadband provider to roll out a high speed mobile voice and data network in Norway in 2008. Digiweb said it will unveil details of the technology being used and its capabilities as soon as the first phase of the network is launched in Ireland in the second quarter of this year. "Digiweb will bring services to Ireland and Norway that simply have not been seen before and in Ireland, when used in conjunction with our Metro and WiMax (in trial) networks will offer customers a unique portfolio of products," said Charl Tintinger, head of wireless networks at Digiweb.
