Individual Toyota garages around Ireland will have their own personalised dealer sections within the new Toyota Ireland Web site, Toyota.ie, launched on Thursday.

Visitors will be able to search through a database of over 2,000 used cars and contact the dealer directly through the site, which was designed in conjunction with New Media. Dealers have been trained to update and edit their own listings of used stock.

As well as the usual test drive booking facility and car specifications, the site will include 360 degree views of Toyota models, direct comparison facilities with other marques, a finance calculator to work out the best financing solution and the Toyota Motor Premium Indicator - a monthly survey (provided by Coyle Hamilton) selecting 300 customers and recording the best motor premium quotation available in Ireland from most of the insurance companies.

Toyota has also signed an agreement with CBG.ie and Motorweb to provide independent reviews of Toyota models and competing marques.

"The launch of Toyota.ie is the latest step in Toyota Ireland's e-business strategy," said Steve Tormey, Head of Marketing, Toyota Ireland. "This site makes it very easy for prospective customers to buy Toyota models through their local dealer. The site harnesses the strength of the Internet for the dealer."
