ITouch chief financial officer announces his departure | Amazon appoints new vice president of Amazon Europe

Neil Canetty-Clarke, currently chief financial officer of iTouch plc, is to leave the company to take up a new post as finance director of the broadcasting enterprises division of Granada plc. John Miller, currently group financial controller, who has been appointed as acting chief financial officer of iTouch, will succeed him. Miller joined iTouch as group financial controller in August 2001. He previously worked for Viatel and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Amazon.com announced that Philipp Humm, vice president of Amazon Europe, is to step down after two years to pursue other professional opportunities. Thomas Lot, a former European retail director for Apple Computer and, more recently, the chief executive officer of ChateauOnline, an on-line wine retailer, is replacing him. Lot will be based in France and serve as the country's director for Amazon.fr. He will carry the title of European vice president and general manager.

Dixons Group plc has appointed Emmanuel D'Andre as a non-executive director. D'Andre is a member of the advisory committee of Banque de France, a non-executive director of Robert Bosch France, a member of the board of La Mondiale (Insurance) and president of GPA Entrepreneur MEDEF.

Siemens Corporation announced that Mark Floyd, president and chief executive officer of Siemens Information and Communications Networks (ICN) US, will step down effective 31 January. Thomas Ganswindt, chairman of the US unit and president of the worldwide Siemens ICN Group, will oversee US operations until a permanent replacement for Floyd is chosen.

Forrester Research announced the appointments of Warren Hadley as chief financial officer and Timothy J. Moynihan as general counsel, effective 16 February 2002. Hadley and Moynihan succeed Susan Whirty Maffei, who will remain as a consultant to the chief executive officer and board of directors. Hadley has been with Forrester since 1996 and has been director of finance at Forrester since 1999. Moynihan joined Forrester in 1996 as a legal intern and has served as corporate counsel since 1998, as assistant secretary from 2000 through 2001, and as secretary of the company since 2001.

Tormod Hermansen, the head of Telenor announced that he is retiring after 10 years in the post. Hermansen took over as chief executive in 1991, when the group was still state-owned Televerket.

Nasdaq Europe announced the creation of new business development teams. Daniel Pouget joins as a managing director responsible for France, Belgium, Luxembourg, French speaking Switzerland and Spain. He was previously chief executive officer of Instinet France for eight years. He will be based in Nasdaq Europe's Paris office.

David J Gandy is appointed as managing director for the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Netherlands. David was previously with Reuters as global managing director of the equities and fixed income business and as managing director commercial and business strategy for global accounts. He will be based in Nasdaq Europe's London office.

Intuit has appointed Dan Manack as the new vice president and general manager for its professional products group. Prior to joining Intuit, Manack served as senior vice president for the e-markets group operations at Peregrine Systems. He joined Peregrine Systems when the company acquired Harbinger Corporation, where he was executive vice president of operations. Manack has also worked at Unisys Corporation and spent 15 years with Texas Instruments.

Cable & Wireless has appointed Dick Bourke as business development manager for the Irish Systems Integration division of Cable & Wireless. Bourke most recently worked with Nortel Networks, and previously Lake Communications and International Aeradio in Dubai. At Nortel Networks his role was to develop new business opportunities in the UK and Ireland markets.
