We all love a good yarn and there are some particularly choice examples that have managed to become urban legends by sheer force of repetition, thanks in large part to e-mail and the internet. A great site for verification of the latest tall tale to cross your computer screen is Snopes.com. It lists stories past and present that have surfaced in the media, helpfully breaking them down into categories. So, if you think you've heard this one before... you know where to go to check.
