The Brookings Institute, a think-tank based in Washington D.C. has rated the top 50 achievements of the US government since the end of World War II. These accomplishments were selected through a vote of more than 450 Political Science and History professors. The choices are essentially statutes or collections of statutes that required the most effort and or changed the nation or the world the most. This page gives only the first 10 items on the list and the Rebuilding of Europe tops it, but it is only the tip of a very interesting and comprehensive list.
