Do you ever follow the machinations of the political machine in the USA? Their elections never really seem to stop and also appear to be very closely allied to whomever is spending the most supporting their campaign for election. Just perfect for a little bit of web expose. And sure enough we present to you opensecrets.org, a website that makes transparency a byword. It takes all the various donations to candidates and sets out where they come from, how much and what interests the donating organisation represents -- pro-life or pro-choice, pro-private health or pro-federal health insurance. It's all there to be discovered. Wouldn't it be good to see something similar for Irish party political funding?
