You remember that US President that never was? Al Gore? Well apart from saving us from sure global environmental destruction, he also backed the fledgling start-up TV/Internet channel Current TV where he's Chairman. It's an eclectic mix of independently produced video programmes of some surprising quality and interest. That might be due to the fact that, much like Digg rating stories on the net, Current TV lets people rate programmes so that the best rise to the top. Then only the cream of the crop gets aired on TV. Current is available on some packages with Sky. Of course, you can also watch all the material on the web.
