Damovo in EUR300K deal with HRM Recruitment | Amazon acquires camera review website
Business communications provider Damovo has completed a deal worth over EUR300,000 with HRM Recruitment Group. The deal sees Damovo provide a converged telephony system for the recruitment firm. HRM has over 75 employees and 2,600 clients.
Insurance firm AIG has selected Dublin based Financial Risk Solution's (FRS) fund administration system InvestPro for the investment administration of its UK, Irish and the Isle of Man life assurance businesses. FRS specialises in providing investment administration systems for the life assurance industry.
Online retailer Amazon.com announced on Monday that it has acquired London based digital camera review site Dpreview.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dpreview.com, founded in 1998, will maintain its current management and operations structure.
Handset giant Nokia said it expects its share of the global mobile device market to increase sequentially in the second quarter from the estimated 36 percent it said it achieved when it posted its first quarter report. Nokia did not specify an exact figure in its update. In its first quarter report, Nokia said it believed there was an impact on the market from the excess inventory of some of its competitors' products that also impacted Nokia's visibility of short term market developments.
According to reports, Adwalker has said it is currently in talks with a major corporation to incorporate the Adwalker platform within its existing portfolio of client services. The wearable media solutions company said it is also in talks with another major corporation to conduct a pilot of an interactive fixed screen digital network, with a view to rolling out a network of interactive screens across Europe.
Alcatel-Lucent announced that it is to acquire privately-held NetDevices, a developer of services gateway products for enterprise branch networks. NetDevices provides an enterprise networking platform known as a Unified Service Gateway, which is designed to reduce the cost and complexity of managing branch office networks. NetDevices was founded in 2003 and has 45 employees located in Sunnyvale, California and Bangalore, India. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
