Belfast's Andor buys Photonic | Apple delays international iPad launch
Northern Ireland's Andor Technology has bought US firm Photonic in a cash and shares deal, RTE reports. The Belfast-based digital camera company has bought the assets of Photonic for USD5 million in cash and more than 156,000 Andor shares of 2p each. A further USD2m may be paid if certain targets are met. For more see RTE.ie.

Apple has delayed the international release of its iPad tablet til the end of May. The company said the move was due to strong US demand for the device, which was originally meant to go on sale outside the US in late April. See NYtimes for more.
Google has announced plans to roll out a timeline of archived Twitter messages organised by topic, so that searchers can see Twitter activity within a specified time-frame. They can then opt to 'replay' the tweets from that day. Google has so far only indexed tweets going back to February this year, but plans to eventually index all tweets as far back of March 2006, when Twitter launched.
