Rondomondo announces new structure

Ireland's first ever superstitial ad campaign will appear on Muse and Ticketmaster Web sites in October and will be carried by Rondomondo's newly announced Advertising Network, it was announced on Thursday.
A superstitial ad is one which emerges from behind a user's Web page during browsing rather than the traditional 'pop-up' effect and can contain full-motion video images.
According to Rondomondo its Advertising Network is Ireland's fastest growing on-line advertising network; it currently serves 10 million ads a month and has managed in excess of 100 campaigns. It intends to target Web site owners and advertisers and offers companies a full range of on-line advertising services such as on-line ad placement, campaign development and management and feedback.
Announced at the Internet World Show on Thursday by Eircom's digital publishing arm Rondomondo, the Advertising Network is one of four new business areas within the organisation: Title Publishing, Syndication Services, Advertising Network and Broadband Studios.
Rondomondo Chief Executive Barry O'Neill told ElectricNews.Net that people had been confused about Rondomondo's operations. By introducing the four new business structures the company, he said, the company "is trying to clarify to the public and business people what Rondomondo does."
Rondomondo's Syndication Services are targeted at both media owners and content generators and will also resell and repackage Rondomondo and third party content. News, Sports, Music, Entertainment, Cinema Content and Horoscopes content are currently available in XML, WAP, SMS, Web site and PDA-friendly formats.
Under a partnership with global Internet based content syndication service iSyndicate, it will supply iSyndicate with a variety of Rondomondo News and Features, which iSyndicate will distribute to media owners. Under a partnership with Reuters, Rondomondo will resell the Reuters Olympic coverage in the Irish on-line marketplace which was seen on www.eircom.net and www.indigo.ie.
The Broadband Studios will be primarily utilised to generate content for broadband networks and has a team of technical professionals from the broadcast industry. Title Publishing, has launched a brand new lifestyle and popcultural magazine, 'Pushie', available at www.pushie.com.
